April 1st (Week 1)

Hello 5/6A (and 5Bs)! Here is the list of things to work on for the week. Make sure to click the green links to get the full activities and assignments. Remember that I am just an email away!

Also, some of your classmates let me know that you would like to continue with #KeepTheQuote, so we’ll do that! I’ll post the quote for the week at the top of each new weekly post and the following week the winner will be shared! I’ll pick the winners based on how the week went (as usual) and on what I already know about you. 🙂 Here’s the quote for this week: “When you try your best, you become a rainbow of possibilities.” (quote chosen by Melanie)

Every week, I will post daily read alouds (with permission from authors/publishers) for students to listen to/watch. Grade 5/6A has one chapter left of their current read aloud, Ghost, so 5Bs may want to skip that one so that they can read the entire book for themselves one day. The new book we’ll be starting is Insignificant Events in the Life of a Cactus by Dusti Bowling.

I have also created a message board on Padlet for you to share your thoughts on the books with the class! (There’s some other ideas to stay connected on there too!)
